My recent visit to hometown Chicago, I was able to over indulge on all my favorite eats! Didn't quite have the time to hit all my favorite hot spots, but I did a pretty darn good job adding the calories:) Was it worth it? Absolutely...
Chicago's got everything when it comes to food...and I must warn you, you may leave hungry after viewing this gallery!
Pizza @ Spacca Napoli Pork Bahn Mi @ Ba Le Italian Beef @ Portillos
Duck leg + green beans @ Marigold The Wreck @ Potbellys Burger @ Kuma's Corner
Granola & yogurt @ Milk & Honey Breaky @ M. Henry Coffee @ Julius Meinl

Restaurant week in Chicago: Lunch @ the Peninsula hotel at 'The Lobby' (below)
For $22, I enjoyed a 3 course meal with buffet appetizers, a choice of main, and unlimited selection of desserts!
Probably the best deal for restaurant week!!!
Restaurant week: Dinner @ Mercat a la Planxa (below)
3 course meal included 8 tapas! Serrano ham and fig salad to the left
Chocolate croquettes with banana marshmallow, rosemary caramel & arbequina olive oil to the right
Violet hour...my favorite lounge/bar in Chicago. My friend/bartender Michael wasn't there when I stopped by, but I was still able to order my drink-'Part and Parcel' even though it's off the menu!
