'teppen' in hongdae

I have a confession.  This Japanese Izakaya/teppan spot in Hongdae. I like. I really like...the 'service' more than the food. Haha. Well, as they say...great service is key to thoroughly enjoying an evening out at a restaurant. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with a loud 'hello' in Japanese...by the whole staff...mainly, the male chefs. Yup. The chefs are...let's just say 'cute' is an understatement.

I have been to my share of teppanyaki restaurants during my time...mostly in the U.S. of course. But this...I think I'm blushing a bit as I write this post because I wish I was actually there writing this on the spot.  When you sit right at the center of the teppan bar, and you have these pretty hot chefs cooking...yeah cooking your meal right in front of you? Your heart may skip a beat...or two. I went with 2 guys and another girl, and we were still getting some attention.

So I must apologize in advance before you salivate with the photos below, I don't remember the names to what we ate. The food was aweseome. Really Sarah, so much for taking copious notes. But honestly, I was tempted 'not' to share this place with my readers, and keep this place to myself. Haha. Then I gave in.

1.  My friends ordered.

2.  Japanese boys cooked.

3.  I ate.

4.  The end.

Their okonomiyaki was amazing...

They are pretty serious.  You don't want to get in their business while cooking.
