'The World Vine' located in the heart of Samseong-dong, in the Samsung Financial Plaza, offer the most impressive selection of wines in Seoul!  The World Vine is mainly a wine shop, that introduces an eclectic selection of wines from emerging areas.  Their company goal- 'To provide the Korean market with a new paradigm: quality wines at reasonable prices.'  The wines are handled properly, storing them in temperature controlled rooms equipped with air conditioning and humidifier systems, and with LED lighting.

The genius behind it all-sommelier Thomas Scheidt from France.  His extensive and incredible background in the wine industry includes working for 3 Michelin Star restaurants-Tonbach Restaurant 'Schwarzwaldstube' and 'Restaurant Alain Ducasse.'  Scheidt's resume also includes: London, Hong Kong, and now Seoul.

Making a visit to the World Vine, Thomas and his staff will guide you to recommend the best selection for you, regardless of price.  Attached to the wine shop, is their wine bar where you can actually purchase a bottle from the shop, then enjoy the bottle at the bar with no extra charge! World Vine is probably the only place in Seoul that offers this service.

Amazing white bourgogne that we started with before we opened the red...

This organic bordeaux Thomas picked out for us was excellent!

After World Vine, we headed to Keeyeon & Youngwan's place to feast on ribs that Jonathan brought, Keeyeon's crazy creations, and of course accompanied with a selection of wines by Thomas!

Thomas conducting the tasting...after sampling an endless list of whites, I can't even remember any of the reds! I may have been 'out' by then...
